The District Mission

The Lawrence County SWCD is dedicated to provide assistance, education, and technical service to the land users of Lawrence County in conserving soil, water, and related resources.

The Conservation Partnership

Lawrence County SWCD is a part of the Indiana Conservation Partnership consisting of the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (IASWCD), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service.  This innovative agreement jointly provides leadership to the State on resource conservation issues.  The goal is a productive Indiana in HARMONY with a quality environment.
